Campaign Pillars
Rural and Downstate Attorney Hiring and Retention
Provide assistance to solo and small firms outside of Cook County in their efforts to hire and retain associates and law clerks, which will support their longevity and provide access to legal services for members of those communities.

ISBA Membership Growth & Engagement
Â
Focus on efforts to remedy the ISBA’s most significant problem, its significant annual loss of membership, through (1) an increase in our membership marketing efforts in law schools and with non-member Illinois- licensed attorneys and (2) by increasing the quality and number of member services.
Attorney Mental & Physical Well-Being
Â
Continue to work with those involved in the Lawyer’s Assistance Program to address our members’ mental, physical, and financial challenges, as well as their compliance with the Rules of Professional Responsibility, recognizing that a viable ISBA membership begins with  healthy lawyers. Â
After 44 years as an ISBA member and a career as a practicing attorney in a firm in rural Illinois, I have seen firsthand the value this organization brings to the legal profession. ISBA has given me opportunities, resources, connections, and a sense of community throughout my career. Now, I want to give back.

I am seeking this position with no personal agenda—only a desire to serve ISBA and help strengthen the profession for the attorneys who will follow us. As the only candidate that is a practicing attorney in my small rural community, I understand the unique challenges facing attorneys and communities outside of Chicago and the larger metropolitan areas.

It has been nearly 100 years since someone from Adams County has held this position. I am honored by the opportunity to represent not only my county and rural Illinois, but attorneys across the entire state. After receiving so much from ISBA, my goal is simple: to give back, to listen, and to help build a stronger Illinois legal profession for the next generation.
